Set on the hills of Florence, surrounded by gardens and olive trees, Villa Olivuzzo is reimagined as a contemporary private residence filled with light and a deeply personal sense of home. The project emerges from a dialogue between the architectural memory of the villa and a more fluid, informal way of living, closely connected to the surrounding landscape.
The intervention enhances the original character of the house without allowing it to become a constraint. The spaces are reorganised through a freer composition, while colour, materiality and light create a rhythm that supports everyday life and brings warmth to the interiors.
Historic surfaces, iconic furniture, expressive materials and bespoke details coexist in a natural balance. Tuscan tradition meets an international sensibility, shaping interiors that feel distinct yet coherent, with each room retaining its own identity.
Colour is treated not simply as decoration, but as part of the architecture itself: defining perspectives, connecting spaces and introducing depth without interrupting the villa’s relationship with its history.
Villa Olivuzzo ultimately expresses an idea of home that is elegant without being formal, cultivated yet welcoming. A residence where the past is not preserved as a static image, but embraced as a living material, capable of evolving through lightness, comfort and character.
